With the exception of the Ultradivines, the Four Messiahs are the strongest entities in all the dimensions. Their sole purpose is to raise the Power Grid's Crystal Shield to protect the three domains from being consumed by Chaos. They each represent a fixed sign of the Zodiac. They rise all at once, but they awaken in a specific order:
Monokeros is the first Messiah to awaken. His Avatar is easy to recognize because he has specified that his Avatar will be a black unicorn.
Alariyah is the second Messiah to awaken. Her Avatar is difficult to recognize, because she does not distinguish between the two genders, and is indifferent to most physical signs. She chooses her Avatar based on her own set of criteria, and enhances said Avatar accordingly.
Selacian is the third Messiah to awaken. His Avatar is not quite as difficult to distinguish, because he has specified that his will be a strong man who leads a country and who excels with a sword. However, the most telling proof of his Avatar is not Selacian's words at all, but the Trinity Sword itself choosing a master. Because only Selacian can master the Sacred Key, which is the Trinity Sword's true form, it is therefore also true that only the Avatar of Selacian can master the Trinity Sword.
Belladonna is the fourth and final Messiah to awaken. Her Avatar is supposed to be difficult to recognize, because her acknowledged criteria are only a gentle spirit, and a body that has given birth (because Belladonna herself represents the motherly Earth). The extent at which her power of forgiveness is present in her Avatar is unknown. Because she is the most crucial Messiah, the one who must exist if the others are to awaken, she hides herself, and reincarnates extremely infrequently.
